Original Third Reich SA Dagger RZM M7/27 By Puma With Hanger-
This is a very nice Sturmabteilung (SA) dagger manufactured by Puma.
Fittings & Grip: All fittings are nickel plated, including the crossguards and tang nut, which remain in very good to excellent condition with a pleasing, lightly aged patina. The tang nut shows no signs of tampering, and the grip remains tight to the tang. The wooden grip features a rich red mahogany tone with a medium center ridge and a near-perfect fit to the guards. The SA roundel is well-set and retains most of its original dark brown enamel with minimal aging. The aluminum eagle remains detailed, but some wear to the head and beak, and showing nice details to the breast, wings, talons, wreath, and swastika.
Blade: The blade is in excellent condition, retaining a good amount of its original crossgrain finish. The “Alles für Deutschland” etched motto is deep and crisp, and retains a good amount of the original darkening. Some typical runner marks are present, along with a few minor gray spots. The reverse of the blade is clearly etched with RZM M7/27, signifying it was manufactured by Puma of Solingen.
Scabbard: The scabbard is straight and retains much of its original brown painted finish and show some spidering throughout with some light surface wear, but do not detract from its overall appearance. The fittings exhibit honest age and patina, and all four original screws remain intact and undisturbed. The throat fitting matches the dagger’s crossguards perfectly.
Hanger: The hanger is RZM marked "oLc M5/71" on the metal hardware signifying it was produced by Overhoff & Cie. of Lüdenscheid. It is slightly dry but remains in good condition. The leather shows age and is nicely marked with a RZM L2/60/41code.
This authentic SA dagger by Puma, complete with original scabbard and hanger, remains in very good to excellent condition.
