Original German WWII Heer Steel Belt Buckle With Leather Tab Dated 1940 By Richard Sieper & Son-

This original WWII German Heer belt buckle is constructed from steel and retains approximately 50% of its original factory-applied field gray paint on the front, with about 80% remaining on the reverse. The reverse is maker marked R.S.&S. for Richard Sieper & Söhne, located near the catch.

The attached leather tab is complete and shows typical age stiffness; it could benefit from leather conditioner or be preserved as-is. The tab is clearly stamped R. Sieper & Söhne, Lüdenscheid and dated 1940—a highly desirable maker and an early war date.

Overall, this buckle is in very good condition and remains a solid collectible example from a reputable manufacturer.
