Original Pre-WWII Soviet Budenovka Winter Cap Size 58-
A Soviet Budenovka is a cloth, protective helmet that was part of the uniform of the Soviet troops from 1918 to 1940. Constructed of grey wool-like material and features a pointed, con shaped top, short brim, and ear flaps that can be buttoned up or down. A red star with a hammer and sickle emblem is sewn onto the front. The crimson red color star indicates Infantry (Border guards-green, Artillery and Tank crews-black).
This authentic cap has been well cared for and is in very good collectible condition. There is some slight fading in the wool that has been exposed which can be seen in photos 8-13. All original buttons and the hammer and sickle insignia are fully intact. The lining on the inside is clean and exhibits hardly, if any use. It is manufacturer stamped and marked size 58.
