This is an original WWII-era M1 helmet featuring a fixed bale and front seam design, complete with its original web chinstrap. The helmet shell retains approximately 90% of its original OD green paint, likely applied late war or postwar over the original factory finish. It has a cork-textured surface, with some wear along the outer edge, minor scrapes throughout, and light scuffing on the dome.

Korean War Helmet Liner – Marked Capac/Westinghouse

• Original Korean War leather sweatband – Slightly dry but still supple; could benefit from conditioning. Very good condition.
• Original WWII adjustable neckband strap – Very good condition.
• Leather chinstrap – Missing, but a small remnant with hardware remains.
• Liner exterior – Paint is 95% intact, though it appears it may have been repainted at some point. There is one crack on the front edge. Very good condition.

This serviced-used helmet is an excellent representative piece for any WWII/Korean War militaria collection. Very good to excellent condition.
