This is an excellent example of a mid-war Waffen-SS Oakleaf A Zeltbahn, featuring a rare ink-stamped manufacturer marking dated 1943 on the fall/winter side. Such markings are uncommon, as most SS Zeltbahns were unmarked.
The reversible spring/summer and fall/winter camouflage patterns display classic mid-war subdued tones. All original grommets—both large and small—remain intact, and the Zeltbahn includes three original rope tie-downs.
Most of the original four hole dish-style buttons are still present and securely sewn on, with only a few missing. Notably, the neck flaps are constructed using a combination of Oakleaf A and Planetree 1/2 patterns on both the spring and fall sides. Additionally, a strip of Planetree 1/2 material can be seen along the edge of the fall side.
There are approximately 4–5 small holes, with only a few measuring around 1 inch in diameter.
Overall, this is a solid, honest example in very good to excellent condition—an excellent representative piece for any serious collector of Waffen SS camouflage or field gear.
