This color paint was used on German mess kits from 1941 to 1945. We have handled 100's of original mess kits and have determined that this color was started into production in 1941 and most likely around the campaign in Afrika or the invasion of Russia or maybe later? They were basically this color from 1941 to 1945. The original colors from manufacture to manufacture vary only slightly. We took the color from an original un-issued mess kit dated 44. So if you want the 100% correct color for your post war mess kit or restore your original mess kit that is missing its entire or most of the original paint this paint is it! The one mess kit on the left side is an original un-issued mess kit and the one on the right is original, but painted with our paint.

I own several original mess kits and this paint is almost EXACT match to the wartime paint!  goes not smooth and dries really quickly.  Many thanks!

The color I received does not come close to the color you show on your web-site. It's a much darker shade of green. I have painted other mess-kits with Graugrün RAL 7008 from Scale Hobbyist and it is a much closer than what your selling.
