#103 Original Un-Issued Waffen SS Oakleaf A Camouflage Type II Helmet Cover- The colors are 100% vibrant! Panels are made up of Oakleaf A. One of the outside panels is a different print run from the rest and has lighter colors than the other two panels. The foliage loops appear to be Oakleaf B on spring side and Oakleaf A on fall side. The spring sleeve panels are #2 Pre-War Early Planetree. The main panels are double needle machine sewn, typical of later war production helmet covers. Thread are a mix of field-gray green, gray & brown color. The helmet cover is marked with ink stamp size 1 on the fall rear bottom of a side panel. Two of the rocker hooks are anodized aluminum "purple", but one is black painted. The springs inside the 3 tunnels are attached and all work. Fits 62 or 60 shells. The SS Helmet Cover was photographed on a M40 Size 62 Shell.
