Original German WWII Heer Artillery Officer's Visor Cap By Erel- We suspect that this officer's visor cap Erel interior liner was removed and replaced with Peküro liner. Beside the liner being replaced this is a very nice visor cap with a field-grey doeskin wool body and crown with a blue/green badge cloth center band with red wool waffenfarbe piping for Artillery to the crown edge, both the top and bottom edges of the center band. The front center of the cap has a stamped Heer national eagle with out-stretched wings. Nice quality officers’ hand embroidered wreath and metal national eagle all original to the cap. The wreath and cockade are mounted on a cut-out, blue/green badge cloth base that is hand stitched to the cap. The cap has a twisted, bright silver/aluminum chin cord that is intact and secured in place by two small silver washed pebbled grained alloy buttons. It is a size 58. The clear celluloid sweat rhomboid on the top of the lining. The black lacquered, vulcanfibre visor is in excellent condition. Some slight mothing near the rear, but it is very slight. Overall a very nice used Heer Artillery officer's visor cap in very good condition. If the liner was not removed this officer's visor cap would be around $1000.00 to $1200.00
