Skillfully resoled with hobnails, nails, and toe caps, these boots exude the historical significance of their combat use. While the passage of time has led to a slight separation along one back seam due to the natural aging of the cotton thread, this only adds to the authenticity of the piece. Notably, the pull tabs are located inside one boot, and a upper heel repair is evident on the other. One boot might have been shortened a little due to damage? The included heel irons, seemingly untouched, hint at their enduring service history; while there is the possibility they were once replaced, their wear aligns with extensive combat usage. A manufacturing number code proudly resides on the interior of one boot, further connecting these boots to their wartime origins. The inside sole does have some age damage in both boots.
