Original German WWII Silver Infantry Assault Badge By Wilhelm Hobacher- Authentic German WWII Silver Infantry Assault Badge, crafted by Wilhelm Hobacher, featuring a distinctive design emblematic of its era. Crafted from zink, it bears very fine traces of its original silver finish. The badge showcases fine details of an intricate arrangement: an oval oak leaf wreath encircling a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, while diagonally across, a k98 rifle, complete with bayonet and carrying sling, adds to the badge's symbolic significance. The reverse side is equipped with a crimped barrel hinge and a vertical pin back secured by a round wire catch, with clear maker's mark indicating the origin—Wilhelm Hobacher of Vienna. Despite minor oxidation and loss of finish, the badge remains in remarkably well-preserved condition, offering a tangible connection to a pivotal period in history.
