Rare Original German WWII Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge By Metall und Kunststoff (M.u.K. 5)- The Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge, established in 1942, was awarded to members of the Luftwaffe Ground Divisions (Feld-Divisionen) who participated in military operations supporting land armed forces, including paratroopers. Criteria for the award included involvement in various war actions, as well as injury or death sustained during these operations.

Crafted by Metall und Kunststoff (M.u.K. 5) in Gablonz, this badge features zinc construction with a three-riveted eagle and a crimped hinge setup. Notably, badges from this maker are seldom encountered, making this piece particularly rare.

While exhibiting some loss of silver finish on the bottom part of the wreath, typical of zinc badges over time, this Luftwaffe Ground Assault Badge remains in excellent condition, displaying minor age-related patina.
