Unissued Original US Post WWI Experimental Cartridge Belt- This web belt might have been an experimental between wars? In the book Doughboy to GI, on page 182, there is a picture of this belt and a caption stating that it's of a style of manufacture post 1917, and that it was for the M1917 Springfield rifle adaptation. The belt held 2 20 round magazines one in each big pocket and each small pockets held two 5 round clips. It also states of unknown manufacture and date. The markings are post WWII and are not original to the belt. Mint to excellent condition!
