Original German WWII M35 Double Decal Camouflaged Luftwaffe Ex-White Washed Helmet Q66- A Luftwaffe helmet that has been through most all of the war. Started out as a double decal, then camouflaged with a gray textured paint with green splotches, white washed and then white wash removed to show camouflage again. The outline of second model decal is showing through the camouflage and you can see some of the tricolor shield in the cracks/chips. Retains a good amount of original factory paint on the inside. Liner shows heavy use and the drawstring is damaged. The front part of the liner the leather has split and appears to have maybe been during the war from heavy use. Chinstrap is marked, but cannot read it. The soldiers rank, last name and unit number in off white painte. The unit number is L06165 and the history is Mobilmachung- (1.1.1940) 6. Luftnachrichten-Fernsprech-Bau-Kompanie FFK (mot.) Luftnachrichten-Regiment 2 (2.1.1940-27.4.1940) 1. Kompanie Luftnachrichten-Regiment 12. Overall a great combat helmet that has seen a few battles with lots of character. Very good condition.
