Original Waffen SS EM/NCO Belt Buckle Marked RZM 155/40 SS By Assmann Type II- Presented is an original Waffen-SS EM/NCO Belt Buckle, bearing the distinguished marking RZM 155/40 SS, meticulously crafted by the renowned manufacturer Assmann & Söhne of Lüdenscheid. This Type II buckle showcases a central motif of remarkable detail: an SS-style national eagle, its wings elegantly outstretched, grasping a laurel wreath enveloping a static swastika. Encircled by a simulated twisted rope border, adorned with the iconic Gothic script motto, "Meine Ehre heißt Treue!" (My Honor is Loyalty!), this emblem exudes historical significance.

This buckle, recognized by collectors for its Type II designation, features the RZM marking relocated beneath the prongs, distinguishing it from earlier variant. Retaining approximately 50% to 60% of its original gray/silver factory paint, it displays signs of authentic wear, including scratches and worn areas on the raised portions, enhancing its character. Surface rust is evident along the sides, contributing to its authentic patina.

The back of the buckle retains the majority of its factory paint, albeit with some rust spots, particularly on the prongs, indicative of its age and storied history. Nevertheless, the RZM 155/40 SS marking beneath the prongs remains clearly visible, reaffirming its authenticity.
