Original German WWII Heer Officer’s Wool Overseas Cap (Feldmützen) Size 57/58-
The Officer's M38 Overseas field cap (Feldmützen) was originally introduced in late 1938 as a replacement for the old pattern visor field cap that had been introduced in early 1934. The design of the Officer's cap was based on the M34 cap worn by EM/NCO's.
This authentic Heer Officer's Feldmützen displays some minor moth damage that can be seen in the photos. It features a fine silver piping and the bullion cockade and eagle still retain fine details and are fully intact. The satin lining shows minimal wear. There is no manufacturer marking or size marking which is typical of Officer's headgear. We assessed the cap is approximately a size 57/58. Overall in excellent condition.
