Original German WWII Kriegsmarine Trade Sleeve Patch Set- On entering Kriegsmarine service all personnel were assigned and trained for a specific career. These careers consisted of a wide variety of specialty trades and functions with some of the careers restricted to certain rank groups. On successful completion of the appropriate training, personnel were issued distinctive career insignia to be worn on the upper left sleeve of the uniforms.

  • Engine NCO’s Career Sleeve Trade Sleeve Patch (Obermaschinenmaat Laufbahnabzeichen)- The vertically oval insignia measures roughly, 90mm tall by 70mm wide consists of a blue cloth base with machine embroidered, multi-cogged gear wheel with four internal spokes and a circular hub, superimposed on a vertical anchor in golden yellow threads. The reverse of the insignia has a protective, black fabric backing intact.
  • Medium Artillery Ship Gun Chief’s Specialty Trade Badge (Sonderausbildung Abzeichen für Geschützführer-für Mittelartillerie der Schiffe)- The 1940 pattern insignia consists of a roughly, 90mm tall, 70mm wide, vertically oval, deep, navy blue wool base with machine embroidered, vertical, artillery shell with five "flames" emanating from the top edge, positioned above three chevrons all in bright red threads. The reverse of the insignia has a protective, black fabric backing intact.
