This is an original German WWII Luftwaffe 2nd pattern visor cap eagle, constructed of zinc.
The zinc finish shows significant age and wear. There is noticeable oxidation / corrosion across portions of the front and back. No visible maker markings are present, which is common for many examples of these early cap insignia. One attachment prong is nicely intact and the other is partially broken.
Overall, this example remains in poor condition.
