Original German WWII Silver Panzer Assault Badge Semi-Hollow By Adolf Scholze

This is an original Panzer Assault Badge in Silver (Panzerkampfabzeichen), awarded to Wehrmacht armored troops for participation in armored assaults. The Silver grade was designated for Panzer crew members who took part in multiple combat engagements.

The badge is of semi-hollow construction and manufactured in zinc with a silvered finish. The obverse features a well-defined Panzerkampfwagen IV tank advancing over ground foliage, surrounded by an oval oak leaf wreath and topped by the national eagle. Detail remains strong throughout, particularly in the tank tracks, turret, and wreath.

The reverse is maker marked “A.S.”, attributed to Adolf Scholze, a known manufacturer. The badge retains its original crimped-in hinge and catch setup, with a straight pin. The hardware remains intact and fully functional.

The finish shows typical age-related wear and toning, with the expected patina. The semi-hollow reverse exhibits pebbling from the die, along with light wear consistent with age and use.

Overall condition is excellent.
