Unissued Original German WWII 1-Liter Matching Canteen W.A.L. 43
This is an authentic matching German WWII 1-Liter Feldflasche (canteen) the components come from the same manufacturer. Overall this set is in very good to excellent. Brought back by a US Veteran.
Flask is marked W.A.L. 43, which indicates that the item was produced in 1943 by the firm Westfälische Aluminiumindustrie in Lüdenscheid
Canteen cap retains its original rubber gasket.
Leather canteen strap remains pliable but is somewhat dry and could benefit from conditioning or left alone. It is nicely marked W.A.L. 43 on the underside near the cap.
Wool cover is in very good condition, with some very minor moth damage. Snaps function properly. There is a ink stamp which we definitely believe to be W.A.L. 43.
Steel clip is intact and comes with an original leather belt loop from the factory.
Black aluminum cup retains most all of its factroy paint, it is not marked and is in excellent condition.
