Unissued Original German WWII Tropical A-Frame Bag Marked & Dated 1941

A very nice and complete example of a German WWII A-Frame Bag, clearly manufacturer marked and dated 1941, and retaining its original configuration with internal components. Early war dated examples such as this are increasingly difficult to find and are considered scarce on today’s market.

The A-Frame bag was designed to carry additional field gear and was worn attached to the Y-straps of the soldier’s combat harness, forming part of the standard infantry field equipment set.

Constructed of olive-drab cotton canvas and the overall appearance remains unissued and untouched. The flap features two aluminum grommets and retains its original web closure strap on the interior. The original web tie cords are present and functional for securing the flap. In addition, the rear retains its original web mounting straps for attachment to the A-frame, along with the correct web tabs used to secure to the Y-strap back strap.
All buttons appear to be aluminum.

Internally, the bag retains the correct K98 cleaning kit pouch, properly secured beneath the flap and remaining in excellent condition. The internal button, stitching, and fabric reinforcements are all intact and well preserved. The interior also shows a clear manufacturer and 1941 date stamp within the pouch.

All hardware, stitching, and leather components remain nicely intact, showing consistent age without damage or repair. Overall, this is a well-preserved and complete example of a wartime tropical A-Frame bag, enhanced by all webbing and its early 1941 date, and the presence of the internal k98 cleaning kit pouch. In unissued mint condition.
