Original German WWII Aluminum Zeltbahn Peg “GA 38” With Rope
An original German WWII aluminum Zeltbahn tent peg, clearly marked “GA 38,” and complete with its original cord. These pegs were issued as part of the standard Zeltbahn shelter quarter setup, used by German soldiers to secure tents, shelter halves, and field positions.
Constructed of lightweight aluminum, the peg features its correct tapered design with reinforced spine, allowing for effective ground penetration while minimizing weight in the field. The original rope is present and securely attached, showing light age and handling wear.
The peg retains a very clean appearance, with a smooth surface finish and only minor signs of age. The “GA 38” marking remains visible, confirming period production.
