Original German WWII Heer Steel Belt Buckle With Leather Tab By Schmolle & Co Dated 1940- Retains 10% on the front and 40% on the back of the original factory paint. A good area of rust and putting on the back. The leather tab is marked Schmolle & Co of Menden and dated 1940, but very hard to read. The leather tab is not damaged, but some of the cotton thread has rotted away. A very desirable marker. The buckle is maker marked with the "wee tree logo in between the S C" for Schmolle & Co. Good condition.
