The reverse is of correct plain steel construction, featuring an integral catch and roller bar assembly. The buckle shows honest period wear and surface oxidation, particularly to the reverse and hardware, consistent with age and service use. It is faintly marked R. S. & S. for Richard Sieper & Söhne.
A solid, original example of an early-war painted steel Heer belt buckle, ideal for both display and advanced WWII German militaria collections.
