Original German WWII Luftwaffe Flak Badge By C.E. Juncker
This is an original Luftwaffe Flak Badge (Flakkampfabzeichen), awarded to anti-aircraft personnel for combat achievement and engagement with enemy aircraft.
The badge features the classic design of an 88mm flak gun set within an oval oakleaf wreath, surmounted by a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a swas. The obverse retains sharp detail throughout the gun, wreath, and eagle, with a pleasing toned silver finish and light, even wear consistent with age and service.
The reverse retains its original pin assembly, including hinge, pin, and catch, all intact and functional. The badge is clearly maker marked:
“C.E. JUNCKER BERLIN SW68”. This identifies production by C.E. Juncker, one of the most desirable manufacturers of Luftwaffe awards. The construction, hardware setup, and overall characteristics are consistent with the Juncker “J4” variant, but with the manufactures marking. Typically the "J4" variant will not have the markings on the back.
Condition is very good to excellent overall, showing honest wear, light patina, and a clean, untouched appearance. The details remain crisp, and the badge presents extremely well.
