Original German WWII Black Wound Badge Award Envelope (No Badge)
This is an original Black Wound Badge award envelope. The packet was used to hold the medal, which was awarded for wounds sustained in hostile action.
The front is ink stamped "Verwundeten-Abzeichen Schwarz" which translates to "Wound Badge Black." The reverse is ink stamped with maker name "Carl Wild Metallwarenfabrik Hamburg 24."
The paper packet shows some slight creasing throughout and a small rip on the side and on the front. In good to very good condition.
