Original German WWII Hollowback Infantry Assault Badge In Bronze Unmarked By Friedrich Linden "FLL"-

The Infantry Assault Badge was instituted in December 1939. The initial class, Silver, was awarded to foot infantry soldiers who participated in combat and demonstrated a level of experience qualifying them for the badge. In June 1940, a second class, Bronze, was introduced. While the standards for both classes were similar, the distinction lay in the type of troops: the Silver was for foot infantry, while the Bronze was for motorized Panzer troops.

This die-struck, hollowback bronzed zinc badge retains a dark patina over much of its original bronze finish on both the front and back. Considering the age of this badge, the details are still fine and sharp. Although this is unmarked, the design of the eagle as well as the reverse hardware setup indicate it was made by Friedrich Linden "FLL", a company based in Ludenscheid, Germany.
The pin, hinge, and catch are fully functional and remain in excellent condition.
