Original German WWII Fire Police (Feuerschutzpolizei) Sleeve Eagle From Cologne (Köln)This style of insignia was worn by members of the Feuerwehr (Fire Police) stationed in Köln (Cologne) during pre-WWII.This rare Feuerschutzpolizei sleeve eagle is constructed of bright pink machine embroidery, featuring a national eagle with outstretched wings clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, all enclosed within a large oval oak leaf wreath. The top of the wreath bears the town name “Köln”. The insignia is sewn onto an oval-shaped dark blue wool backing.
Overall this remains in very good condition.
