Original German WWII Heer Officer’s Dagger (Unmarked) with Hanger & Portapee With Monogrammed Pommel-
This is an original German WWII Army (Heer) Officer’s Dagger, an unmarked example produced by one of the Solingen makers under contract during the mid-war period. The dagger remains in excellent, untouched condition and comes complete with its original hanger set and silver bullion portepee.
The bright blade retains a clean mirror finish with only minor age toning and fits tightly into the hilt. The fittings show even, uncleaned patina throughout, with the cross guard displaying the detailed Wehrmacht eagle clutching a swastika. The pommel is monogrammed with the stylized initials of the original owner, an uncommon and highly desirable personalization seldom encountered on surviving examples.
The orange glass grip is in very nice condition, showing light wear and no major damage. The scabbard retains its dark, pebbled finish with intact suspension bands and screws. The attached silver bullion portepee shows moderate fraying from age but remains tied in its wartime knot configuration.
Included is the original set of Army officer’s hangers, featuring dark field-gray fittings, silver brocade straps with green velvet backing, and intact leather tabs, showing honest wear from use but fully functional.
Overall, this is a very attractive and complete Heer Officer’s dagger set, untouched and all original, with the added rarity of a owner's initials monogrammed on the pommel and matching accessories.
