This is a rare original German WWII Heer General’s visor cap eagle, hand-embroidered in fine gold bullion thread on a dark green wool backing. The eagle displays the high-quality hand craftsmanship typical of officer and general-grade insignia, with tightly applied bullion wire forming the wings, body, wreath, and central device.
The insignia was removed from a visor cap, with evidence of its original attachment still visible. Portions of the original backing remain present, though some areas are missing from the removal process or from age. The reverse shows the expected stitching and bullion thread consistent with period construction.
The bullion retains an attractive aged tone with light wear from service. Overall, the piece remains **in excellent original condition**, showing honest age and use.
