Original German WWII M42 Heer Single Decal Camouflaged Helmet ckl66-This authentic M42 Heer single decal helmet, size ckl66, was manufactured by Eisenhüttenwerke Thale, which later transitioned to the "ckl" code. The helmet retains approximately 85% of its original dark field-gray and lighter green camouflage paint, which was spray-painted on the exterior. Notably, the lighter green camo also extends to the interior skirt and visor. The Heer decal is still about 85% intact, with some minor chipping.
All three split pins remain present, though the rear one is slightly loose. The leather liner is complete, marked with size 58, and remains supple, featuring its original drawstring. Additionally, the helmet comes with its original leather chinstrap, which is maker-marked and dated 1942. Despite signs of combat use, the helmet is in very good to excellent condition, making it a desirable collector’s piece.
