Unissued Original German Late War Tropical Heer/Waffen SS M31 Breadbag RB NumberedThis is an original, unissued German WWII Heer/Waffen SS bread bag (Brotbeutel), a standard and essential piece of field equipment issued to personnel for carrying rations and personal items.
Constructed of olive green issue canvas, the material remains strong and supple, showing minimal period wear including very little to no surface soiling and creasing consistent with long term storage. The overall structure remains solid with no damage. The webbed reinforced loops, straps, and all hardware are solid and well preserved. The buttons may have some minor rust. The belt strap hook is missing most of its original paint.
The interior retains its original configuration. The web closure strap is present and intact, showing minimal aging, it remains functional. All stitching appears to be secure. This bag features an RB (Reichsbetriebsnummer) marking on the underside of the flap, indicating later wartime production under the German wartime contractor coding system.
This bag is well preserved and in mint/excellent condition.
