Original German WWII Heer / Waffen SS Winter Fur Cap Size 57
This original winter fur cap could be worn by Heer or Waffen SS soldiers. The cap is constructed of fieldgray wool for cold-weather use, with extended rabbit fur ear flaps designed to be worn down for warmth or secured up when not needed. The ties appears to be original from the factory. One ear flag retains a button for the other ear flag with threaded loop to attach to. Interior quilting remains intact with period stitching visible throughout, but is not marked. There is minor discoloration inside and out; and some noticeable soiling on the top of the cap. There is no insignia, maker or size markings. It is approximately a size 57. Overall in very good condition.
