Original German WWII Kriegsmarine M18 Single Decal Reissued Helmet Size 66- An original M18 helmet and most likely refurbished by Sachsische Emaillerwerke (SE) with a Kriegsmarine decal during the 1940 time frame. We have seen several M35 Helmets that were the same textured fieldgray paint and Kriegsmarine decal applied.  Most of the time the Kriegsmarine decal is “ghosted” or flaking.  The split pins are the same apple green color as on this M18 helmet.  There is only 2% of the original decal there and we can see that it is a gold color and not an aged silver typical of the Heer decals.  The original zinc liner is original to the helmet, but the leather liner is very stiff and one finger has damage.  The liner does have a small hole and the owners rank and name written on the inside.  Short of the chinstrap is there and missing the hardware.  Partial small part of the long part is there.  Good to very good condition.
