Original German WWII Luftwaffe Marksmanship Grade I Lanyard (Schützenschnur)-
This is an authentic Grade I Luftwaffe (Air Force) Shooting Lanyard, featuring the distinctive twisted aluminum cord in very good to excellent condition. The lanyard has no acorns indicating its Grade I designation. Marksmanship lanyards were awarded to Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) and Enlisted Men (EM) for passing yearly marksmanship tests. Luftwaffe lanyards were introduced in 1936.
The nicely aged subdued aluminum Luftwaffe badge is included. The blue twisted cord with silver has loop ends shows very nicely. Most of the Luftwaffe blue wool backing is still visibly intact on the back of the badge, but it does show some very minor mothing. The lanyard is nicely preserved and is in excellent condition.
