This deactivated (DWAT) M24 stick grenade features a pine wooden handle, which is faintly letter-coded and stamped with the date "43". The handle shows aging and darkening from handling and time.
It comes with a zinc screw cap, painted in dark field gray, though it exhibits significant surface rust from handling. The grenade retains its original string and porcelain pull ball.
The metal head is marked "43 fcc" and retains a good amount of its original dark field gray factory paint, with some minor rusting. A partial detonator remnant remains attached at the end of the grenade, likely serving to hold the string in place within the wooden handle shaft.
Overall, this M24 stick grenade is in very good to excellent condition, making it an excellent piece for collectors.
