Original German WWII M31 Zinc Helmet Liner Size 64/56 & Dated 1941
This is an original German WWII M31 helmet liner featuring the early zinc band construction, stamped “64 n.A / 56” for a size 64 helmet shell and size 56 head size. The liner band is also clearly dated 1941, along with a manufacturer code stamped on the metal.
The leather liner shows honest wartime use and age. The liner fingers remain complete but are slightly stiff from age, with some light surface dryness. All reinforcing leather finger washers are still present. The felt padding on the inside of the band is intact but shows some moth holes and wear from age.
The zinc band is solid with no cracks or bends, and both chinstrap bales remain securely attached. The original pins holding the leather liner to the band are present. Does not come with drawstring.
A nice, untouched 1941-dated M31 liner that could use some leather conditioner or left alone. Ideal for completing an original size 64 German WWII helmet in very good condition.
