Original German WWII NSDAP Political Leader Visor Cap RZM Tagged Size 59/60This cap is constructed of "whipcord woven" wool fabric with a traditional high front. The cap has typical light blue piping for the Ortsgruppe level leader. The cap band is a dark tan velvet material. Some of the piping does have some moth damage, but mostly in the rear.The NSDAP Eagle (national eagle) is intact on the front and an open cast aluminum gilt oak leaf wreath with a metal cockade on the velvet band. Both pieces show very mild oxidation due to age. The gold bullion chinstrap is intact and held by gold pebbled buttons, which one has some very slight oxidation. The rayon lining is intact along with the diamond celluloid sweat shield that is stitched to the top-inside of the cap. There is no size marking but there is a RZM tag on the inside. We believe the approximate size of the cap is 59/60. The half or less of the leather-like sweatband is missing/broken off dues to age, has become dry and stiff and shows wear and tear along the edges. Overall this cap is in very good to excellent condition.
