Original Third Reich RADwJ Banner / Flag (Reichsarbeitsdienst der weiblichen Jugend) 184cm x 115cm
This is an original screenprinted WWII RADwJ (Reichsarbeitsdienst der weiblichen Jugend – Women’s Labor Service) flag, featuring the distinctive red cotton field with a large white roundel containing the black swastika above the RADwJ wheat-sheaf emblem. This design is specific to the women’s branch of the RAD and is significantly harder to find than the standard male RAD flags. The RADwJ oversaw the training, work assignments, and national-service preparation of young German women during the era.
The screenprinted emblem remains clear with strong detail, showing only light wear from age and handling. The red field retains excellent color with normal storage folds, a few scattered stains, and minor age-related marks, but no major tears or structural issues. The original reinforced white hoist edge is fully intact and still retains both of its period rope loops along with the original metal hanging clips. The stitching throughout remains tight and in excellent condition.
RADwJ flags were displayed at women’s labor service camps, training facilities, administrative buildings, parades, and ceremonial events. Authentic wartime examples—especially larger sizes with original hardware—are becoming increasingly scarce. This example is well-preserved and displays beautifully.
