Original German WWII Signals (Nachrichtentasche) Leather Tool Pouch Dated 1940-

This original 1940-dated German WWII Signals (Nachrichtentasche) leather tool pouch was standard issue for telephone and signal corps personnel, as well as pioneers. It was designed to hold essential tools and materials, including a report pad, pencils, tape, splicing knife, paper labels, and a universal tool. The interior features a divider and designated pencil storage.

The pouch is manufacturer-marked, dated 1940, and stamped with a Waffenamt. The leather shows some dryness and could benefit from a light conditioner, though it can also be left as is for preservation. The belt loops on the rear remain in good condition with solid stitching, allowing it to be worn on a belt. Additionally, two D-rings on the back provide the option to attach a carrying strap.

Approximate dimensions: 8” x 9” x 2.75”.

Overall, this pouch is in good to very good condition—a rare and highly collectible piece, ideal for display at a reenactment.
