Original German WWII Award Document For Silver Infantry Assault Badge Issued To An Officer Of Infantry Regiment 376 With Award-
This is an original award document for the Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber (Silver Infantry Assault Badge), issued to an Oberleutnant (1st Lieutenant) of the 8./Infantry Regiment 14 in October 1942. The document bears the signature of the Oberst und Regiments-Kommandeur and remains in excellent condition.
The accompanying Infantry Assault Badge is crafted from silvered zinc, featuring an oval oak leaf wreath. At the top, a German national eagle clutches a mobile swastika, while a bowtie adorns the base. Across the center, the badge displays a Karabiner 98k rifle with a fixed bayonet and a carrying sling.
The reverse is fitted with a barrel hinge, vertical pinback, and round wire catch, bearing the "GWL" maker’s mark for Gebrüder Wegerhoff, Lüdenscheid. The silver finish remains in excellent condition on both the front and back. The badge retains its original molded hinge, pin, and catch, all intact.
