Original German WWII Heer M40 Single Decal ET64- This combat-worn M40 ET helmet showcases a dark field-gray paint with a subtle fine texture and a Heer decal, approximately 90% intact. The exterior paint retains around 90% of its original factory coating, with notable wear concentrated on the top of the dome.
Both the inside and outside paint exhibit consistent wear, reflecting the rigors of its wartime use. The liner, showing signs of age and wear, remains intact, with some damage towards the front attributed to constant use and exposure to sweat. Notably, the liner includes the drawstring, contributing to its completeness.
The chinstrap, an original wartime piece with an intact painted gray buckle, bears the marks of authenticity. However, the long strap has been cut off at the end. In overall good to excellent condition, this combat-used M40 ET helmet encapsulates the practicality and durability demanded by the wartime era.
