Original German WWII Army/Luftwaffe Splinter A Pattern Zeltbahn RB Numbered
This is an original wartime German Zeltbahn in the classic Splinter “A” camouflage pattern, as issued to both Heer and Luftwaffe personnel. This example represents a mid to late war production piece, identifiable by its steel buttons and grommets.
The camouflage remains well defined, vibrant mid to late war colors on both Spring/Summer & Fall/Winter sides, showing the characteristic angular splinter pattern with overprinted rain streaks. All factory-installed components are present, including the full complement of buttons and grommets, all of which remain intact.
The Zeltbahn is faintly marked with an RB (Reichsbetriebsnummer) number, indicating wartime production by a contracted manufacturer. It also includes three original tent ropes.
Notably, the Zeltbahn shows two period field repairs. One repair is particularly interesting, being executed with Italian camouflage fabric, likely reflecting late-war use in the Italian theater or the use of captured materials.
