This is an original large-issue German WWII wound bandage, designed to be carried in the designated bandage pocket on the inside of the tunic. Two standard sizes—small and large—were issued to Wehrmacht soldiers, with this example representing the larger variant.
It is properly maker-marked and dated 1940. Please note: this example comes without the outer cloth wrapping or string tie.
