This is an excellent example of an original WWII German K98 bayonet, produced by Elite Diamant and dated 1939. The bayonet, scabbard, and frog are all in outstanding condition, making this a highly collectible ensemble.
Blade: Retains approximately 99% of its original factory bluing. Marked "Elite Diamant" and dated 39 on one side, with serial number 2045 on the reverse.
Grips: Original Bakelite grips are in superb condition—free of cracks or damage—with only minimal wear. At the top of the handle bear crisp double Waffenamt (WaA) acceptance stamps.
Locking Button: Fully functional and operates smoothly without issue.
Scabbard: Serial numbered 2045, matching the blade. Also marked "Elite Diamant" and dated 39 on the reverse. The finish shows only light aging and remains in excellent condition overall.
Frog: Accompanied by an original black leather frog, maker marked and dated 1940, with aluminum rivets and fittings. The leather remains supple and well-preserved, no damage to the handle cross strap and perfectly complementing the bayonet.
This matching-numbered bayonet set is an outstanding example of wartime German military craftsmanship—an excellent addition to any WWII collection.
