This is an outstanding example of an original WWII German K98 bayonet, manufactured by Elite Diamant and dated 1938. Complete with its matching scabbard and a rare Luftwaffe-issued leather frog, this set is exceptionally well-preserved and highly collectible.
- Blade: Retains approximately 99% of its original factory bluing. Clearly marked "Elite Diamant" and dated 38 on one side, with matching serial number 3420 stamped on the reverse. The blade remains in excellent condition, showing minimal signs of age or handling.
- Grips: Original wooden grips are in superb condition—free of cracks, chips, or damage—with only the slightest signs of wear. The pommel bears crisp double Waffenamt (WaA) acceptance stamps, adding to the authenticity and appeal.
- Locking Button: Fully functional and operates smoothly, locking and releasing without issue.
- Scabbard: Serial numbered 3420, perfectly matching the blade. Also marked "Elite Diamant" and dated 38 on the reverse. The finish remains excellent with only light patina from age, showing no dents or major flaws.
- Frog: Includes a rare original Luftwaffe-issued brown leather frog, marked with L.B.A. and unit designations. Maker-marked and dated 1938, the frog features aluminum rivets and fittings. The leather remains supple, strong, and well-preserved—an exceptional complement to the bayonet and scabbard.
