Original German Pre-War HJ Nickel Silver Belt Buckle RZM M4/27 By Overhoff & Cie
This example is produced from nickel silver, a material commonly encountered on early and pre-war HJ buckles, prior to the widespread wartime use of steel. The obverse features the correct raised HJ diamond emblem within a finely detailed circular border, retaining strong definition and crisp strike characteristics.
The reverse is of correct early construction, featuring a soldered catch and roller bar. The RZM marking “RZM M4/27” is clearly stamped, correctly identifying Overhoff & Cie as the manufacturer. All components are original and period-correct.
The buckle shows honest age and light wear, with no repairs or alterations, and retains a pleasing natural patina consistent with genuine pre-war examples.
A very solid and desirable example of a pre-war HJ nickel silver belt buckle from a well-known maker.
