Original Italian WWII M35 Canteen
This is an original Italian WWII canteen, retaining its period wool felt cover and web shoulder strap. These canteens were widely issued to Italian forces throughout the war and are a classic example of Axis field equipment.
The canteen features its original feldgrau-toned felt cover, which shows honest field wear and age. There are several small holes and areas of thinning to the felt, consistent with service use, but the cover remains largely intact and continues to display well.
The aluminum screw cap is present and retains a good amount of its original finish, showing typical wear from use. The linked aluminum retaining chain, which would secure the cap to the body, is unfortunately missing.
The web shoulder strap is still attached; however, it is broken on one side and has been tied in a knot. The strap shows heavy wear, fraying, and age toning, but remains present for display.
