Original German WWII Double Decal M34 Feuerschutzpolizei (Fire Police) Helmet Size 64/57
An authentic wartime German WWII M34 Feuerschutzpolizei (Fire Protection Police) helmet retaining both original decals and exhibiting honest service-used character throughout. These lightweight civic helmets were utilized by members of the German Fire Police and civil emergency services during the Third Reich period. The classic black finish and double decal configuration make these helmets highly collectible examples of WWII German civic headgear.
EXTERIOR
Shell: Retains much of its original black painted finish with extensive scratches, abrasions, and handling wear accumulated from period use. The shell displays a desirable untouched appearance with age and character throughout. Minor edge wear and scattered paint loss are visible along the flared rim and high points.
Police Decal: Original silver Feuerschutzpolizei eagle shield decal remains present with moderate wear and scratching but still displays clearly.
National Tricolor Decal: Original red, white, and black national shield decal remains intact with visible wear, scratches, and abrasions from service use.
The helmet retains its correct M34 civic-style six-hole ventilation pattern.
INTERIOR
Shell: The interior retains original stamped manufacturer and approval markings, including the desirable “Edelstahl” deer logo. Also stamped into the shell is: “gem. Anordnung d. MdI v. 31.1.38,” referencing approval according to Ministry of the Interior regulations dated January 31, 1938. Additionally, a period hand-scratched name or inventory marking is present above the manufacturer stamp, most likely applied by the original wearer or issuing department.
Liner: Original leather liner remains present and complete but shows heavy age and service wear. The leather has darkened from age and use, while the dome padding leather is torn and fragile. The liner fingers remain intact overall but show dryness and wear consistent with wartime service.
Chinstrap: Original chinstrap remains attached and complete. The leather shows noticeable dryness and age cracking but still remains solid overall with original hardware intact.
CONDITION
