Rare Unissued Original German WWII SS Fachführer/Fachunterführer Sleeve Diamond With RZM Tag
A scarce and highly desirable original Waffen SS Fachführer/Fachunterführer sleeve diamond, retaining its original RZM issue tag and remaining in outstanding unissued condition. This particular sleeve diamond was intended for wear by a Fachführer assigned to the organization “Reichskommissariat für Festigung des Deutschen Volkstums” (RKFDV – Reich Commission for the Consolidation of German Nationhood), specifically within the department “Gruppe Volkstumsarbeit” (Nationality Work Group). SS Fachführer personnel were specialist leaders and technical experts who served with SS Main Office departments, either within the Reich or attached to Waffen-SS formations in the field, performing administrative, organizational, and specialized duties.
The design features the distinctive blossom and grain emblem, finely machine embroidered in silver-gray thread on a ribbed black wool diamond backing typical of SS insignia manufacture. The embroidery remains exceptionally crisp and well defined, with tight stitching and excellent contrast against the black wool field. The reverse retains its original paper RZM control tag marked “Hersteller A4” with SS runes and registration details, an increasingly rare feature seldom encountered intact on surviving examples.
Condition is mint/unissued overall, showing no evidence of wear, removal, or uniform application. The black wool backing remains clean and firm, while the embroidery retains its original bright appearance with no fading, mothing, or fraying. The original RZM tag remains securely attached and well preserved, greatly enhancing both authenticity and collector appeal.
An outstanding and difficult to find Waffen SS specialty insignia, highly desirable due to its specific organizational association, unissued condition, and intact RZM tag.
