Original German WWII Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF) Visor Cap Badge
The “Deutsche Arbeitsfront” (German Labor-front), originally founded in 1933, became an official NSDAP organization in October 1934. Its stated purpose was to educate the workers in industry and commerce in furtherance of the smooth and efficient operation of all labor in the Third Reich.
This original badge is 5.3cm (2.01") tall, framed with a gilt washed metal, rope-like surround. Its cloth center features the machine woven DAF emblem of a mobile swastika within a fourteen-toothed cog above a spray of oak leaves, all in golden-yellow on a black base.
The reverse is embossed with “Lieferant No. 59” (Supplier No. 59) and a RZM mark. Both of its original brass attachment prongs are intact. Show typical light age toning plus wear. Overall remains in very good condition.
